28 INT. GARY’S CAR (PERKIN’S PANCAKE) – MORNING 28

Maverick leans to back of seat as he makes request of
Skeeter.

                                         MAVERICK
                           Do you think possibly?.. You could
                           arrange a meeting?.. We would
                           really like to speak with this
                           individual.

Skeeter explains to Maverick and Gary.

                                         SKEETER
                           I’ll ask her… She scared!.. They
                           chased her with a ball bat!..
                           Threaten her constantly over the
                           phone… Drive by her house… She
                           scared!

Maverick looks to Skeeter.

MAVERICK
We could really use her help.

Gary nods in agreement as he holds a business card.

                                         GARY
                           Skeeter this is my card… These
                           are my numbers… If I don’t
                           answer… Leave a message.

Gary looks to Maverick.

                                         GARY (CONT’D)
                           Maverick?.. You alright giving
                           Skeeter your number?

MAVERICK
Yes sir.

Gary hands business card to Maverick.

GARY
Write your number on the back.

Gary advises Skeeter.

                                         GARY (CONT’D)
                           Maverick will be your only contact
                           besides myself… Keep this card
                           with you at all times… You may
                           need it.

Maverick hands card to Skeeter. Cellphone rings at
support. Gary answers.

GARY (CONT’D)
Yes…

Gary turns to Maverick.

                                         GARY (CONT’D)
                           Got enough information to get
                           started?

Gary speaks on cellphone.

GARY (CONT’D)
Yes sir.

Gary concerned advises Skeeter.

                                         GARY (CONT’D)
                           Skeeter… Would like to give you
                           some advise… Do not… I
                           repeat… Do not be afraid of
                           these Drug Dealers… That’s what
                           they count on… Let me tell you
                           something about Drug Dealers.

Gary advises forceful loud

                                         GARY (CONT’D)
                           First they sell you drugs… Then
                           they tell you they’re going to
                           kill you!.. When we bust em!

Gary smiles boasts loudly.

GARY (CONT’D)
They cry like babies!

Fade to Black.
